Make sure you have your ASID membership number and a major credit card and don’t forget to update your membership information including your expect graduation date.
STUDENT MEMBERSHIP:
Membership is available to students currently enrolled in an interior design or interior architecture program that requires at least 40 credit hours of design related classwork to graduate. Students at schools where an ASID student chapter exists may join as a student chapter member; students at other schools may join as an independent student member. Eligible ASID Student Members may advance to Allied Membership upon graduation.
STUDENT ADVANCEMENT:
By advancing to allied membership while still a student member, you pay only $150 for the first two years compared to the regular membership price of $655. As an ASID student member, you pay $75 advancement fee the first year you advance. The following year you will again be charged only $75 and are not assessed any additional dues. Students who upgrade to Allied membership can also sign up for the STEP and the IDEP programs, both of them will help you to get ready for the NCIDQ exam.
You have up to a year. If you submit your advancement application after Oct. 1, it will be processed to take effect in January 2008. This will give you 2 full years at the specially reduced rate of $75 per year.
